On- and inline analysis

Near infrared is widely used for fast, reliable and non destructive analysis that simultaneously can control, within the specifications, the production process and the quality of the end product. The analysis can be both performed qualitatively and quantitatively. Choosing the correct sampling technique is a main issue and we can offer a variety of these very important sampling techniques.

The IR light from the spectrometer is transported by optical cables to the measuring cell. The measuring cell is mounted in the production process and the spectrometer with the different elements can be placed in a conditioned area and built in a standard cabinet. In this way no expensive or special constructions are required.
The analytical results can be sent to the DCS via mA, Volt or OPC. In some cases we need to configure new process algorithms which can be configured directly in the process software. We will always assist you in these very crucial phases in the project.

For on-and in-line measurements of milk, curd, butter, cheese and whey protein concentrate we have developed special measuring cells. Some measuring cells can be used in both the chemical and food industry.
The Diode Array Nir differentiates itself by its capability of performing contactless process measurements. With 500 scans per second the system can be directly mounted on top of a conveyor belt.

Process applications can have a huge impact of the improvement of the quality of the end product. A good example is the in-line analysis of the moisture content in butter. With the QPA Butter the investment was returned in a couple of months.
Measuring cells designed for the food industry are containing Teflon parts and fulfill the strict requirements for the food industry. The cleaning of these special Teflon cells can be executed during the CIP process.
