INGOT

The production of finished feed requires constant knowledge about major components in the raw materials in orde
to optimize the finished feed to meet standards and lower the cost. Normally, chemical analysis is used for this purpose
but being slow, costly and using reagents, FT-NIR technology is a far better alternative and provides analysis results
of major components within seconds.

Milk fat

Determination of the quality of milk is important to the milk industry. The iodine value in milk fat is an example of thes
quality parameters. The milk fat is obtained from the milk by means of a solvent extraction. NIR analysers can be placed
in the production laboratory and can be operated by plant personnel. The analysis time is less than two minutes.

Compost

Mushroom Compost based on organic and conventional components will be supplied to growers more and more by bigger commercial manufacturers. For a quick and easy control of the stages of the manufacturers process we have developed a dedicated analyser for different properties. However also the components itself (wheat straw, horse and broiler chicken manure, Gypsum etc.) and products like casing soil can be done with the same instrument.

Bio diesel

For optimization and quality reasons, NIR analysis can quickly and cost-efficiently measure components in biodiese
and biodiesel raw materials such as animal fat, vegetable oils, soy, rapeseed, algae etc. The range of components is
wide and includes mono-, di- and triglycerides, free glycerine, acidity, moisture and iodine value (IV) components.
The chemical analysis is costly and time consuming, while the LipidQuant will make the analysis in less than one minute.
The analyser can be placed in the production area and can be operated by plant personnel.

Butter and speads

Law regulates moisture and fat content in butter. To maximize profit, the final product must be as close to the legislated values as possible. Traditional laboratory methods can be cumbersome, expensive and require trained personnel. Most importantly, these methods are much too slow to allow sufficient reaction time for control of the process. As a result, NIR analysers have replaced most of the traditional methods. These analysers can be placed directly in the production area close to the churn and can be operated by plant personnel. The analysis time is less than one minute.

Cattle feed

Production of cattle feed requires precise control over the different components based on the final product specifications.
NIR analysers have widely replaced the traditional methods, since they can run a large amount of samples in a short time. The AgriQuant B1 can be placed directly in the production area and be operated by plant personnel. The AgriQuant B1 will deliver analysis results for your cattle feed samples in less than one minute.

Flour

Many parameters are of interest for the production of flour in order to have production within specifications and to obtain an end product with the desired performance. FoodQuant B3 will provide a fast and accurate result for these parameters, e.g. moisture, protein, gluten and many more.
The FoodQuant B3 is perfectly suited to replace traditional laboratory methods which are cumbersome, expensive and require trained personnel. The results are obtained on the FoodQuant B3 in less than a minute, enabling tighter process control and faster reaction in production.

Forage

Forage - grass and maize silage - is widely used for feeding cows, and it is mandatory to know all the major components
and the feeding value of these products. NIR analysers have replaced most of the traditional methods, since
they can run a large amount of samples in a short time, either manually or automated. The analysis time per sample is
less than one minute.

Milk powder

NIR analysis can quickly and cost-efficiently measure components such as protein, fat and moisture in various types
of milk powder such as skimmed or whole milk powder. The chemical analysis is time consuming and costly, and for
the fat analysis, ether extraction is used. This can all be avoided using FT-NIR where the analysis time is only one minute
with no other sample preparation than pouring the sample into a sample Petri dish or a Teflon cup. The analyser
can be placed in the production area and can be operated by plant personnel.

Minced meat

Fat content in meat is a major quality parameter when producing minced meat. The meat is sold with different content of fat and it is very important that the measured content of fat equals the fat content declared on the package.
Controlling the fat content during the process and in the final product is important. The FoodQuant B3 will provide
a fast and accurate result for the fat content in the minced meat, and will be a powerful alternative to cumbersome
and time consuming traditional methods.
The FoodQuant B3 can be placed close to the production and can be operated by plant personnel. The analysis time is less than 1 minute.

Mushroom compost

The medium for mushroom growing, called compost, is scientifically formulated of various materials such as straw, hen or horse manure, gypsum and nitrogen supplements. Preparing the compost takes one to two weeks. After the first production step called fermentation the compost is pasteurized and then after incubation is placed in large trays or beds. Next the spawn is worked into the compost and the growing takes place in specially
constructed houses where the farmers can regulate the crucial
aspects of heat and humidity.

Oils and fats

NIR analysis can quickly and cost-efficiently measure components such as Iodine Value (IV) %Trans, FFA, OH, water,
acid value, saponification value and oxidation. The chemical analysis is time consuming and too costly, whereas the
analysis time with this NIR analyser is only one minute after the sample has reached constant measurement temperature.
The analyser can be placed in the production area and can be operated by plant personnel.

Soil

Society demands sufficient food of good quality produced in a sustainable way. This requires knowledge about the actual
soil nutrient status, so that proper nutrient application rates can be recommended. Compared to traditional soil
testing techniques, NIR analysers provide a much more cost-efficient solution. They can run a large amount of samples
in a short time with an analysis time per sample of less than one minute.

Soy raw material

Production of animal feeds requires precise control over the different raw materials used. NIR analysers have widely
replaced the traditional methods, since they can run a large amount of samples in a short time.
The NIR analyser is to be placed either in the lab or in the production area and can be operated by plant personnel.
The AgriQuant B1 is a versatile FT-NIR analyser that will deliver analysis results for your soy samples in less than one minute.

Sugar

NIR analysis can quickly and cost-efficiently measure components such as Pol, Brix and Pol/Brix Ratio in sugar solutions
coming from either sugar beets or cane sugar. The chemical analysis is time consuming, especially the Pol/Brix
Ratio, where both Pol and Brix have to be analysed before making the calculation. The analysis time with this NIR analyser
is only one minute after the sample has reached constant measurement temperature to get all three figures.
The analyser can be placed in the production area and can be operated by plant personnel.

Yellow cheese

One of the important constituents in cheese is Moisture, which should be controlled in the beginning of the process. Other parameters, which are important for regulations and taste, are Fat content, Salt and pH. Normally these measurements are done by external traditional laboratory methods, which are expensive and time consuming. Furthermore fat in dry matter is used for production control and is therefore an interesting parameter to analyse by FT-NIR. Lately salt content has gained increased attention. So far NIR has not been able to supply results with good enough accuracy and hence traditional laboratory methods have been used. The cutting edge spectral performance of the DairyQuant B3 now enables the analysis of salt in grinded cheese with excellent results in less than a minute.
