Microtrac has been a pioneer in particle sizing technology for over 30 years. Microtrac supplies very robust and userfriendly instrumentation in different areas of particle size distribution. Using the patented 'solid state' lasers in the laserdiffraction series means a small system and free maintenance system with accurate results. At the same time Microtrac has launched the latest generation of submicron particle size analysers. Starting in 1990 Microtrac released the Ultrafine Particle Analyzer (UPA) which incorporated the Controlled Reference Method (CRM) in a dynamic light scattering instrument. Nowadays the Nanotrac, and since 2008 Zetatrac, are designed for higher precision. higher accuracy and advanced software capabilities in a small robust system.

In general it means that voor liquids and powders Microtrac can offer you particle size analysis ranging from 0,8 nanometer up to 13000 micrometer. For the pharmaceutical applications Microtrac fully complies with 21CFR Part 11.
For on-line and in-line solutions the Sequip team has designed several concepts in particle size characterisation. With the use of a scanning laser and back reflection in the Live Particle Series you can follow the particle trend analysis in your process. The different D values are calculated for your product and this give your typical fingerprint. (Fingerprint Sensor Technolgy). With the Particle Image Analysers it even possible to have the image of your particle as well
For precision and morpholgy based on advanced camera system the Occhio series are very suitable. Special software have been designed to analyse the data,which correlates directly current sieve fractions. With Callistat , the dedicated statistical software, we can make sample comparison with up to 8 measurements, real time statistics, 3D interactive plots. Now parameters as elongation, width, lenght, maximum distance and convexity are available in less then 2 minutes.
